Thoroughbred Cruisers began in 1996 when a group of local craftsmen joined forces to manufacture some of Kentucky's finest custom houseboats. In 1997 the first Thoroughbred houseboat rolled off the assembly line and we have been producing top-quality custom houseboats ever since. Today, at Thoroughbred Houseboats, we have made customer satisfaction our number-1 priority. We listen to our customers' wants and needs, and try to accommodate them in the best way possible. Most of our changes and improvements are customer-driven. A lot of our current standards and options started with, "can you do this?"  Today, Thoroughbred builds top quality houseboats, and has custom house boats for sale, new custom house boats centered around the customers ideas and specifications.

Mike Bernard and Shawn Heinen are new to the ownership of Thoroughbred.  Rod Parrish has been with Thoroughbred since its inception in 1996 and is our lead boat designer. Rod brings years of expertise and creativity in design to the table.  Mike and Shawn are houseboat owners bringing their passion for houseboating as well as their knowledge of  "what a houseboater really needs and wants".
